URC-R50 Digital R50 Universal Remote Control

I bought this remote a few days ago, and have been very pleased.

The built-in database is reasonably complete. I set it up for my Vizio TV and TivoHD fairly quickly, and all of the appropriate hard and soft buttons worked fine.

There were no really good matches for my Sony soundbar that would control all of the switched HDMI inputs, so I chose the closest match and then used the "learn" function to handle the rest.

As another reviewer noted; If you create a set of "dummy" devices like "Watch Tivo", "Play Wii", "Watch Roku", etc, and then put the actual devices on another page, it makes it very easy to create macros on the dummy devices that power up the appropriate devices, select the correct inputs, and so on. Make the last macro command jump to the actual device page, and you're good to go.

One thing that wasn't obvious at first was that you can also learn and/or create macros for the On/Off/Volume/etc buttons on both the main and device screens. So it becomes very easy to have those controls manage the volume/power/etc from any of the device screens if you have an audio system that all the devices route through.

All in all, I'd recommend it as a good remote at this price point.
