I have gone through three universal remotes and this is the only one that works!!! It works with TV and DVD. Soooo easy to setup, seconds. I would only buy GE remote again if I had to do it again! Buy it, you will not regret it.
I got this remote to replace the one that went to my older JVC TV after the original died one day. This GE remote was very easy to program for both my TV and U-Verse cable box. It can do every thing my previous remote did for the TV. It's a bit limited in terms of the cable box: it turns the box on/off, changes channels and adjust the volume. Overall I would highly recommend this remote!
