L5 Universal Remote Control for iPhone, iPad & iPod Touch

Just received it today. Was thinking about the Harmony 1100 which is expensive and apparently not well supported on Mac and am so glad I didn't waste money on that pricey unit. This device works exactly as promised. All of my remotes functions were easily transferred and the customizability this invention allows is ideal. You can lay out your remote(s) however you want and program only the functions from your factory remotes that you really use or want, which is actually better than the original remote in my mind. The drawer and pop up features are brilliant and let you hide functions you don't use as often (yet easily access them) and keep your customized remote layout clean and streamlined if you want.

Because of how customizable it is, you can have all of your devices for a single room on one remote and essentially have a separate universal remote for each room or zone if you like. I have a vacation home and will probably program a custom remote to control all of the AV devices there next time I go up.

The macro function also works great and you can even set a delay between commands if necessary.

The upload/download feature is sweet too as once you've created a remote you can load it onto all of your devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod, etc) or download the many shared remotes others have loaded on the L5 cloud database (I didn't use this but if you're not as motivated to design your own remote your device may very well already have a remote someone else made for it readily available). Plus you'll always have a backup of your remote that you can access from anywhere and load onto any device with the L5 app.

Definitely a 5 star program this company hit a home run with their invention!
